Before your first Resident Evil Outbreak scenario.

  • Choose the File and a supported running environment.
  • Practice movement, inventory, aiming and interaction.
  • Agree with your group on the scenario and a meeting point.
  • Identify your save method and keep a backup.

Make room for the next task.

An inventory full of things you might use can prevent you from carrying the thing you need now. Before leaving an area, identify which items relate to the current objective and which supplies your team already has.

Our planning suggestion is to assign responsibilities: one survivor keeps an objective item, another carries extra recovery, and everyone knows where a dropped item was left. Adjust this to the group and scenario.

Use a specialty with a purpose.

The survivors are not merely cosmetic choices. Their equipment and abilities create different options. Read the character reference before assuming your character can perform another survivor’s action.

Try a single character across a few attempts. Familiarity with the route and your controls is more useful than repeatedly changing characters in search of a guaranteed best pick.

Separate a clear from full completion.

Reaching an ending, collecting an item and recording every event are different goals. Use your first run to understand the route. Plan optional objectives on later attempts.

The checklists on this site are personal planning aids, not a complete in-game event tracker and not a reader for your save file.
